How to use NGA emission factors
- Choose the factor that matches your activity, fuel type, location and reporting period.
- Multiply the activity quantity by the factor, then convert kilograms of CO2-e to tonnes where required.
- Record the factor, unit, source edition and any assumptions in your methodology notes.
NGA Factors support voluntary corporate inventories, tender responses and supplier reporting. They are not the prescribed factors for reporting under the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Act 2007. Check the requirements that apply to your report before using any factor.
